Dan Barr

Dan Barr leads the multi-disciplinary consultancy Better Cities Group and co-founded the major event planning technology collaboration Better Events VR. He has 20 years’ experience in city-building infrastructure, project governance and host city major event delivery. He has held leadership roles in delivering the Gold Coast Light Rail project, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Community Renewal program and holds formal qualifications in urban design, public health and project management.

Dan has been consulting to shared e-scooter operators and government throughout Asia Pacific on micromobility deployment since 2018. During this time, Dan and the Better Cities Groups have advised dozens of cities on how shared micromobility can be delivered successfully on the basis that all cities are different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. The Better Cities Group is a formal research and collaboration partner of the Micromobility Research Partnership.
