Kathryn King is responsible for the NZ Transport Agency’s Streets for People Programme, as well as the agency’s National Walking and Cycling Plans in New Zealand. She led the walking, cycling and safety department at Auckland Transport for four years, overseeing a phenomenal rise in people cycling in NZ’s largest city and starting to shift the city away from its car dependency. Kathryn spent more than a decade working in London, introducing a number of innovative cycling and safety initiatives.
