Lee Roberts

Lee Roberts is a Research Associate at City Futures Research Centre at UNSW. His work focuses on active transport infrastructure - helping councils decide where and what to build to encourage more cycling, especially for people who are interested in riding more but are concerned about safety on city streets.

Lee is an urban planner and designer with more than 10 years of professional experience. His professional work revolved around precinct planning, active transport and transit-oriented development. Lee’s PhD research focused on urban rail trails and their contributions to the social and economic life of public spaces in cities. Lee is also a local cycling advocate, working with BIKEast on improving cycling environments in Randwick and Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
