Penelope Bennett

Penelope Bennett is a Chartered Professional Engineer with a focus on transportation and traffic.

She has engineering/science degrees complemented with a Master of Urban Planning and has worked in consultancy, construction and local and State government in the UK, Singapore and Australia.

Her experience ranges from small traffic management schemes through to major projects such as EastLink and the Singapore Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. Penelope was also involved in the Poundbury for the Duchy of Cornwall, an urban extension to the UK town of Dorchester.

As part of Victoria's Level Crossing Removal Project - then the Suburban Rail Loop Authority - Penelope focused on improving access to railway stations, especially for walking and cycling.

She was a member of the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) Urban Design Advisory Panel.

In 2022, she became Senior Transport Planner at the City of Adelaide, working on the e-scooter program as well as various transport strategies and traffic engineering issues.
